We had a Homegrown Session with Morgan and it was one of the most stress-free sessions I have done. Morgan was so relaxed and was so patient through the whole session. My kids absolutely loved her as well! Morgan has such an eye for the little shots that make a BIG impact; the hands, toes, little moments/ interactions, etc. She was the perfect mix of "fly on the wall" and posed photos. The gallery we received back was nothing short of INCREDIBLE. In the words of my 94 year old grandma, "Well that was pretty fun. That lady was sure nice. I liked her." and in the words of my 7 year old BUSY boy, "It felt like Morgan didn't even take that many pictures of us." I would highly recommend her for photos, especially a "generations" shoot to capture memories of loved ones that you will be able to cherish forever!

These photographs are for the day your children look back and see how deeply they were loved. They may not remember this season clearly—but these images will show them how it felt to be held, known, and cherished by you.
This session can take place at home, a special place to your family, or someplace a little out of the box (ask me about it and I'll throw out some ideas!) It can be used for families, newborns, maternity, or couples—whatever season of life you’re in and wanting to remember.

+ A full gallery of edited images (65+), delivered in both high-resolution and web-sized files for printing and sharing
+ A private online gallery to view, download, and order professional prints and products
+ A complete session planning guide, along with gentle guidance during your session—as much or as little direction as you’d like.

Homegrown sessions are available on both weekdays and weekends and don’t have to take place entirely at home. We can collaborate on something meaningful and unique to your family, wherever that may be.

Why lifestyle photography?
Because the everyday moments are the ones that matter most. The quiet mornings, the routines you don’t think twice about, the way your family simply is together. Whether that looks like pancakes on a Sunday morning, playing in the backyard, reading favorite books on the couch, checking the cow pastures, drawing on the sidewalks with chalk, or a walk outside you take often, these are the moments worth remembering. My goal is to document your family as they are in this season. Don't worry, I'll be sure to get photos of you all looking and smiling for your holiday cards, but for the most part I'll direct gently and let you all be to capture moments as they unfold naturally!

Where should we do our photos?
At home:My personal favorite. Photographing your family at home keeps things comfortable and natural, allowing space for real moments to unfold. Don't worry about your house being picture perfect-- this is where your whole life is!
On location: If you love being outdoors, we can meet at one of my favorite locations or choose a place that’s meaningful to your family. I’m always drawn to beautiful light, natural textures, and spaces that allow you to move, explore, and simply be together.
My Studio: a small, perfect space that still allows natural moments to unfold!
Something out of the box: Want to do something a little different? I have a whole "brain dump" list of ideas in my phone I can send your way! You can decide if one of those options sounds fun for you guys!

Do you travel?
Absolutely. Sessions within 30 miles of Bottineau, ND are included, and travel beyond that distance is subject to a mileage fee. If you’re dreaming of a location a little farther away, just let me know—I’m always happy to chat about options.

Your home doesn’t need to look a certain way for your photos to be beautiful. The most meaningful images come from real spaces—where life happens every day. I’ll guide you to the best light and spaces, and together we’ll focus on what truly matters: your family, just as they are. Give me at least one room with a good window in it and we can make magic happen haha!

What should we wear for our photos?
Begin with what you already have. The clothes you reach for most often usually feel the most like you—and those are the ones that translate best in photographs. If there’s a meaningful piece you’d love to include, like a favorite sweater or a hand-me-down with history, we can build the rest of your outfits around it. The goal is comfort, connection, and clothing that feels true to your family.

Do you help with posing and direction?
Yes—absolutely! You’ll never be left wondering what to do with your hands haha! I’ll guide you the whole way with easy prompts and gentle direction, but nothing stiff or overly posed. For the most part, I act like a fly on the wall but will defintely give direction when needed!

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
Around here, the weather doesn’t always play by the rules HA! We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and make a plan together if adjustments are needed. Sometimes that means shifting plans, sometimes it means heading indoors. Either way, we’ll choose what feels best.

What if our kids aren't feeling it or someone is sick?
As a mom, I truly get it! Kids have off days, and sometimes life just happens. There’s no pressure for everyone to be “on” during a session—real moments are always welcome here. And if someone isn’t feeling well, we’ll reschedule. Your family’s comfort and well-being always come first!

I hate photos of myself--do I have to be in them?
You're not alone-I've felt this way before, too! There’s never any pressure, but I gently encourage you to step into the frame with your people. It's my job to find the best lighting and angles, but more importantly--decades from now, your kids won’t notice how you looked—they’ll see that you were there, loving them, laughing with them, and fully present. My approach is natural and unposed, focused on connection rather than perfection. You deserve to be remembered in this season too!!
